The CFLI Peace Week Project, Finding Peace After Your Storm, is a youth- and community-focused peacebuilding initiative aimed at promoting non-violence, emotional healing, and social cohesion.  It was launch on February 8 2026 and will end on February 27 2026 with the closing ceremony at the Sacred Heart Academy Christiana.

 

Theme: Promoting peace, respect, resilience, and unity among students and communities.

Creative Expression of Peace

 Through school-based activities, creative expression, dialogue sessions, and a Youth & School Peace March, the project provides safe spaces for young people and community members to reflect on challenges, strengthen resilience, and commit to peaceful conflict resolution. Implemented in partnership with schools, faith-based, and community organizations, the initiative empowers youth as agents of change while fostering a lasting culture of peace beyond Peace Week.

Hurricane Melissa Recovery Efforts

Partial report of relief supplies donated by Dr Junior Peart and the Moravian congregation at  Margate ,Florida.

 

This represents a 40ft. Container of groceries, school supplies and tools for reconstruction post hurricane Mellissa. The container contents were collected from Jamaicans of the diaspora under the intiative of O.Oliver Anderson Publishing Ltd. New York.

www.appliedradiology.com. The Anderson family lived in Whitehouse Westmoreland.

 

Shipment of this container came through the instrumentality of UNITAS OF JAMAICA [a service agency of the Moravian Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands] .

Community-Led Response

Using church and community networks, the Moravian Church mobilized volunteers, provided pastoral and psychosocial support, and established local coordination points to reach impacted areas efficiently. Unitas supported these efforts by strengthening partnerships, facilitating resource mobilization, and promoting collaboration among local and international partners

 

Recovery & Resilience

Beyond emergency relief, the recovery initiative emphasizes rebuilding, healing, and resilience. Activities include restoring damaged facilities, supporting households in recovery, and creating spaces for emotional and spiritual care. Together, Unitas and the Moravian Church remain committed to helping communities recover stronger and more united.
