The CFLI Peace Week Project, Finding Peace After Your Storm, is a youth- and community-focused peacebuilding initiative designed to promote non-violence, emotional healing, and social cohesion. The project launched on February 8, 2026, and will conclude on February 27, 2026, with a closing ceremony at Sacred Heart Academy Christiana.

Through school-based activities, creative expression, dialogue sessions, and a Youth & School Peace March, the project provides safe spaces for young people and community members to reflect on challenges, strengthen resilience, and commit to peaceful conflict resolution. Implemented in partnership with schools, faith-based, and community organizations, the initiative empowers youth as agents of change while fostering a lasting culture of peace beyond Peace Week.
Hurricane Melissa Recovery Efforts
Unitas of Jamaica is grateful for the generous support received following Hurricane Melissa. A 40-foot container of relief supplies was donated through the kindness of Dr. Junior Peart and the Moravian congregation in Margate.
This significant contribution included groceries, school supplies, and reconstruction tools to assist families and communities as they rebuild. The items were collected by members of the Jamaican diaspora under the initiative of O. Oliver Anderson Publishing Ltd., reflecting the strong spirit of giving among overseas supporters.
The shipment was coordinated and facilitated by Unitas of Jamaica, a service agency of the Moravian Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. This collaborative effort demonstrates the impact of partnerships in delivering timely relief and supporting long-term recovery for affected communities.

Community-Led Response
Using church and community networks, the Moravian Church mobilized volunteers, provided pastoral and psychosocial support, and established local coordination points to reach impacted areas efficiently. Unitas supported these efforts by strengthening partnerships, facilitating resource mobilization, and promoting collaboration among local and international partners
Recovery & Resilience
Beyond emergency relief, the recovery initiative emphasizes rebuilding, healing, and resilience. Activities include restoring damaged facilities, supporting households in recovery, and creating spaces for emotional and spiritual care. Together, Unitas and the Moravian Church remain committed to helping communities recover stronger and more united.
